What does the Covid-19 PCR Swab Test tell you?
The Covid-19 PCR swab test kit tells you if you currently have the virus in your nose or throat. It checks for RNA particles from the Covid-19 virus.
Do you offer the Day 2 and Day 8 tests?
We offer the Day 2 and Day 8 tests at our clinics. These are viral PCR tests that can detect the virus directly, as required under U.K. law.
How are the tests done?
Test samples are taken by one of our health care professionals at our clinic. The test sample is then sent back for analysis to our laboratory. Test results are received via encrypted email.
Am I allowed to leave my residence to attend the clinic for the test?
Yes, you are permitted to leave your residence to go to the clinic for the Day 2 and Day 8 tests. After your appointment, you must return directly to your residence to quarantine.
Can I buy a test for my children?
The Day 2 and Day 8 PCR Swab tests are required for international travel into the U.K. by adults and children aged 5 (five years old) and over.
Can I buy a test if I live outside of the UK?
Yes, our Day 2 and Day 8 tests service is for any individual travelling into the U.K.
How long does it take to receive the test result?
- Your result should be with you 1 to 2 business days after your appointment
- However, during times of high demand, it is possible that there may be delays with the service. We ask for your patience and understanding during these challenging times.
What does a positive PCR test mean?
This means you have Covid-19.

What does a negative PCR test mean?
A negative PCR swab test means that at the time of taking the test, you do not have Covid-19.
